Inspired to continue on...

Sometimes life will knock you down. But getting up is all apart of living.
So here is to inspiration, and to living out loud.

Here is a poem I wrote for my English class this past semester. It gives a look into who I was and I will continue to build on to become who I am meant to be.

Where I'm from...

I am from pixie dust
The ballerina in my jewelry box
From the melodies so soft and sweat
From timid voices with big laughter
I am from a man and a woman
What my children will not be
I am from a once single mother with a half sibling as a sister
I am from a generation of false positives
A home of hope and faith
Where a youth group saved my soul
And a secret dammed my family
I am from a place where picking up the pieces is normal
And following your heart is uncommon
With no revolving doors
Where dance is life and home depot was my stage
Movies and pizza filled my Fridays
Failing wasn't a fear but an option
Practice always made perfect
Bright colors and sunrises
Sand on my feet and water in my view
Where sirens blared
I am from an area that survived destruction

I am from those moments
A soul well-disguised and hidden
Finally moving forward

Live out loud
